Ben Martin is a highly accomplished saxophonist with over 30 years of experience performing across the UK and internationally. He is renowned for his expressive and versatile playing, covering genres such as jazz, Latin, soul, reggae, and classic pop. Whether performing solo with high-quality backing tracks or leading ensembles ranging from duos to quartets, Ben brings sophistication and energy to every performance.

 

Having played at prestigious venues like Ronnie Scott’s in London and Smalls in New York, as well as major festivals such as the North Sea Jazz Festival and Brecon Jazz Festival, Ben has established himself as a distinguished name in the music scene. His exceptional talent has even led to a special performance for Sir Paul McCartney, who was so impressed that he joined Ben on stage.

 

Known for his warm, expressive tone, Ben performs on vintage Selmer Saxophones from the 1930s and 1950s, enhancing the authenticity of his sound. His use of professionally recorded backing tracks and a portable, high-quality PA system allows him to deliver outstanding live music in any setting, from intimate weddings to grand corporate events.
